StormAudio officially pivots into the professional sector with the launch of NEO. Presented at InfoComm 2026, Neo is an immersive decoder, controller & audio hub specifically designed for immersive mixing environments from stereo up to 9.1.6.

The Missing Link in Professional Workflows

As immersive audio becomes the industry standard, studios face increasing complexity in routing and decoding. Engineers also face a critical challenge: if they cannot trust the accuracy of their room, they cannot trust the integrity of their mix.

Studios and professional users require solutions that not only deliver precision but also integrate seamlessly into existing infrastructures while remaining manageable and scalable.

NEO solves this by acting as a universal digital hub. It streamlines the transition between traditional hardware and modern IP-based infrastructures, providing a seamless bridge for audio engineers to manage next-generation formats without the typical technical overhead.
It simplifies immersive audio workflows and ensures reliable monitoring into any listening environment, without disrupting existing studio setups.

Pro-Grade Power. Compact Footprint.

Developed and designed in France over the past three years, NEO packs elite processing into a form factor optimized for high-density studio environments. Key features include:

  • One system control: Decoding, routing and monitoring, all in one place.
  • Universal Connectivity: Native and simultaneous support for AES/EBU, Dante, and AES67, ensuring easy integration into any professional network.
  • Future-proof Decoding Library: Up to 16 channels of decoding for Dolby Atmos, with options for Auro-3D, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, and Sony 360 Reality Audio.
  • Advanced Monitoring and control capabilities: Instantly switch between speaker layouts, formats, or use cases without external gear, and quickly recall multiple custom Dirac calibration profiles.
  • Precision Calibration: Parametric EQ and optional Dirac Live Active Room Treatment (ART), allowing engineers to achieve acoustic perfection with unmatched ease.
  • 8K Video Support: Equipped with HDMI 2.1b/HDCP2.3 for 8K/4K 120Hz throughput, perfect for high-end post-production.

“Expanding into professional audio is a natural step,” says Olivier Thumerel, CEO of StormAudio. “With NEO, we’ve rethought system architecture to prioritize both elite performance and day-to-day usability for the modern sound engineer.”

StormAudio solutions are designed around long-term reliability, stable architectures, and professional industry standards. At the core of this philosophy is a modular hardware and software architecture, ensuring that every system is inherently future-proof and capable of evolving alongside technological advancements. Originally rooted in high-end HiFi and immersive home cinema, this engineering-first approach, focused on industrial-grade durability and performance, now extends naturally into recording, mixing, and post-production studios.

NEO will be available in 8, 12 or 16-channel configurations via license, allowing systems to be tailored precisely to studio requirements and to evolve over time without hardware changes.

Experience the Future at InfoComm 2026
